Biography

Monette Magrath is an American film, television, and theatre actress.

Screen credits include Steven Spielberg's The Post (opposite Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks), Garry Marshall's The Other Sister (opposite Diane Keaton), and the recurring role of Cheryl on Weeds (opposite Mary Louise Parker). 

Broadway credits include Lady Bird Johnson in All the Way, opposite Bryan Cranston (2014 Tony Award for Best Play) and understudying Bella in The Sound Inside, (which garnered Mary-Louise Parker the 2020 Tony Award for Best Actress).

Regional credits include Lizzie in The Rainmaker at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Amanda in Private Lives at Geva Theatre Center. She has worked at Arena Stage, South Coast Rep, Cleveland Play House, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, McCarter Theatre Center, and many more. 

Though she continues to travel around the country for work, she makes her home in Marine On Saint Croix, Minnesota, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
